What is CVS ?

Cyclical vomiting syndrome is a disorder that causes recurrent episodes of nausea, vomiting, and tiredness (lethargy). This condition is diagnosed most often in young children, but it can affect people of any age.

It is a poorly recognised disorder with very little awareness about it here in Ireland.

Many people often go years undiagnosed .

There are no specific tests for cvs a diagnosis is often made after careful review of a persons medical history , physical exam and tests are done to rule out other conditions that cause severe recurrent vomiting.
